“Hey Bunny! We’re here.. The usual order?” Brandon asked.

“Oh.. Yes please.. The Lemon Vodka..” I replied as I got out of the car.

Brandon locked the car and the three of us began walking towards our usual night spot. The Blue Dolphin Café. The place was popular with their outdoor beach bar. The sea breeze and lantern decors usually attract couples young and old alike. Michie, Brandon and I were regulars since we always meet up for business or alcohol therapy. We would always take the 69th table since it was near the beach and also, it reminds Brandon of his girlfriend who was studying abroad in Australia.

After Brandon left the table to get our shots, Michie turned to me and asked, “Everything is going smoothly according to the plans you made.. Are you sure you don’t need a backup plan? Just in case I mean..”

Aaron thought about what Michie said for a while. After a few minutes of staring at the sky, he replied, “Well, I don’t think we’ll need one. The plan is too perfect to go wrong! What can possibly happen? I’ve planned this for half a year. It’ll work out.. Somehow..”

I looked at the full moon and started to think back to the time when I first met her. She was sitting on the shore writing an article for the local newspaper. I was there just enjoying the sea breeze blowing in my face. By luck, she turned her head and saw me throwing caution to the wind. I was surprised when I heard her giggle because I thought that I was the only one on the beach at that time.

I looked at her and smiled. “Oh hello there. I didn’t know there was another person here other than me.” I said.

“Well.. I here.. And, you looked kinda cute when the wind blew your hair just now..” she replied.

“Oh really? I was thinking the wind would mess my hair up a bit.” I responded and started walking towards her.

She closed her book and turned towards me. “Are you here alone? Wanna sit beside me? I could use someone to chat with right now.”

As I blushed slightly as I took my seat beside her. I looked at the sky and told her, ‘It’s a full moon tonight.. Pretty isn’t it..”

“Yea.. It’s beautiful.. Oh yeah!” she exclaimed.. “I haven’t introduced myself.. I’m Adelie.. And you are?”

“Aaron.. But you can call me Bunny” I replied.

From there, we just sat next to each other talking about anything that came into mind, our lives, our dreams, and everything else. We talked about the moon and the stars and how the raindrops would sooth her emotions when she was hurt. When we finally decided to go back, it was already past midnight. I offered her a lift but she said that her house was nearby. She did promise she’ll meet me again and she gave me her number. Our first meeting. It was unforgettable. The sight of her smile.
